Two years ago, the owner of London-based White Rose Laundries, Ejaz Osmani, took the decision to replace some conventional washing machines at his laundry operation with two Xeros machines that use polymer bead technology. Since then, his laundry operation has delivered superior cleaning results for customers and has witnessed significant energy savings, according to Ejaz Osmani.
“In terms of our expenses, we’ve seen 70% savings on water, 50% on energy, and our detergent costs have also been halved,” said Ejaz Osmani. “Whilst we are saving money we are also doing our bit for the environment – it’s our hope to one day install Xeros machines across the board to help us become the most environmentally friendly company in London!”
Ejaz explained that one of his clients, a cosmetics company, asked him for help because they were having trouble getting oils out of towels. Xeros tested the towels in its laboratory near Sheffield then formulated a tailored program that removed these oils effectively.
