The Worshipful Company of Launderers (WCL) is to again offer four places for interested parties to participate in the 2025 Travelling Scholarship. Four commercial laundries in the Midlands area have offered to open their doors in support of this annual initiative organised by WCL.
The four places are open to applicants for planned visits to the four laundries over two days with costs covered by the Education Committee of the WCL and places are open to anyone with an interest in advancing their career by seeing other laundry processing units.
The WCL Education Committee will pay each of the four participants £600 for travel and accommodation expenses and by keeping the four-laundry visit to a relatively small area it is planned to be able to do two visits per day, over the two days, with a third half day for getting candidates to the area and settled in to a hotel.
The dates for the visits are the 12-13th of February 2025. Applicants should email John Shonfeld ASAP and mark the application ‘Travelling Scholarship’.
