WCL moves to motivate in February
UK
Save the date! The Worshipful Company of Launderers (WCL), supported by the Oliver Family Education Trust, is hosting a leadership conference on Tuesday, 13 February 2024 at Glaziers/Launderers Hall in the City of London. As Mahatma Gandhi said: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
WCL elaborated on the message, saying: “Motivation is what causes us to act or choose not to. What lessons did the pandemic teach us about motivating ourselves and our teams and how can we maintain our motivation to grow our industry in the face of today’s changing marketplace?”
This will be WCL’s third Oliver Family Education Fund Seminar with an array of speakers from industry, sport and the armed forces sharing their motivational philosophies. Speakers include:
• Tessa Sanderson CBE, Olympic and European gold medallist
• Barnaby Perks, CEO and entrepreneur
• Lt Col Georgina Symonds, Commanding Officer Ports and Maritime Corps, the Royal Logistics Regiment.
• Dr Vikas Shah MBE DL, CEO, Swiscot Group
“These speakers will share how their careers and organisations were built upon effective motivation and outline how we can learn from their experiences to the benefit of both ourselves and those we work with,” said WCL.
The programme includes coffee and registration from 9.30am, with the programme commencing at 10am, a light lunch from 12.30 to 1pm and a 3.00pm finish. Places cost £50+ VAT per participant and you can acquire the booking form through the Launderers Clerk at clerk@launderers.co.uk
