Washio, the Santa Monica, California-based on-demand laundry and drycleaning service, has ceased operations, the company announced on its website on 29 August. Washio was serving the cities of Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
Attempts to open the former Washio website are now directed www.rinse.com. A message tells visitors that: “The bad news is that Washio is no longer serving customers (as of Aug 29, 2016). The good news is that Rinse is here to take care of all your dry cleaning, laundry, and clothing care needs.”
