GERMANY
Veit, a leading manufacturer of ironing equipment for the textile care industry, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this month.
Founded in 1956 by Reinhardt Veit, the Landsberg-based company is a global player in industrial garment finishing, with business activities in more than 100 countries.
Christopher Veit is the third generation of his family to join the business, following his father, Veit president Günter Veit, who joined the company as a co-director in 1975, and company founder, Reinhardt Veit.
Christopher Veit, who managed the group’s Chinese subsidiary from 2012 to 2015, now works alongside his father Günter. Both he and his father are aware of future challenges and expansion of Veit’s business facilities in Germany is one of the goals both directors share.
"We are delighted to be able to celebrate our company’s 60th anniversary this year," the pair said in a joint statement. "We are looking ahead to the future with a spirit of confidence and motivation.
"We are convinced that we will continue our successful path by working together to enhance our existing strengths and to put our customers’ benefits into the focus of our operations."
