The North America trade association representing linen rental businesses, TRSA, recently held its annual Next-Generation Executives Workshop in Chicago featuring a high-energy session on personal branding, and offered several networking opportunities and outings with other linen, uniform and facility services industry executives, including a Major League Baseball game between the Chicago Cubs and rival Milwaukee Brewers at historic Wrigley Field.
And, on the morning of 24 July, the group met at The Westin Michigan Avenue hotel for a half-day workshop led by best-selling author and business speaker Kaplan Mobray. Mobray facilitated a session titled “The 10Ks of Personal Branding: How to Maximize Your Personal and Professional Brand to Elevate Your Career”.
The workshop was designed to help business leaders understand the gap between how you think you are perceived and how others actually see you, becasue developing and having an identifiable brand – both personally and professionally – greatly impacts how the world views you and your business.
A passionate musician who kicked off the meeting by showcasing his saxophone skills, Mobray conducted several interactive exercises with the group of roughly 20 ‘next-generation executives’. The discussion was designed to help each attendee identify his or her strengths and passions and create a brand that is both positive and unique, and positions them to excel in their individual careers.
