A Thanksgiving service will be held for Guild of Cleaners and Launderers past President Richard (Dick) Seaman FGCL on Friday 8 June at 2.00pm at St Mark’s Church, off The Street, Englefield, Reading RG7 5EN.
His distinctive record included Master of the Worshipful Company of Launderers during 1982 -1983 and President of the Guild of Cleaners and Launderers during 1995 -1997.
A lifetime achievement was to bring a smaller packaged steam raising boiler to the drycleaning sector that allowed same day dry cleaning to be introduced on to the High Street reducing significantly the time taken to clean garments.
