A total of 264 exhibitors from 26 countries took part and their stands featured sustainable and efficient technology and processes for drycleaners, laundries and textile service providers.

More than half of all visitors were from outside Germany and there were large increases in the number of visitors from Japan, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Lebanon and Brazil, according to Wolfgang Marzin, president and CEO of organiser Messe Frankfurt.

Elgar Straub, director of VDMA Garment and Leather Technology, said that Texcare International reinforced the sector’s overall positive mood.

“Both German and international exhibitors from the field of laundry and drycleaning technology are extremely pleased with the fair,” he added.

“Today, the focus on the customer side is on investments in new technology with the aim of conserving resources at the same time as increasing efficiency. Our members reported significant growth in the number of visitors from Italy, Russia, South America and the Middle East.

“The four days of lectures at the Texcare Forum, which was organised by Intex (Industrieverband Textil Service) and DTV (the German Dry Cleaning Association) in co-operation with Messe Frankfurt, attracted 1,180 international visitors. The themed days were very well received.”
