Standard EN14065, which is independently assessed and awarded, applies to industrial laundries that serve hospitals, health, food, pharmaceutical, catering and hotel sectors.
As a leading supplier to the NHS, Sunlight spent a year putting the necessary systems in place to gain this accreditation for all its healthcare laundries including Spring Grove Services in Ireland.
Steven Finch, Sunlight’s managing director UK and Ireland said “Microbiologically clean linen plays an essential role in helping to eliminate Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) and in achieving EN14065 we are maintaining our critical role in that process.”
He added that that while achieving accreditation had involved significant investment in training and establishing internal systems, the certification demonstrates the group’s commitment to maintaining its position as the market leading provider.
