Richard Neale of the Drycleaning Technology Centre says that the company has its lamps made up by a local electrician using a 45cm 40W UV tube.
For an off-the-shelf solution, he recommends a simple battery-operated banknote detector, which can usually be bought online for about £15 – 20.
