CLEAN’s Slough Laundry has been awarded a RoSPA Silver Fleet Safety Award, which champions excellence and improvement in the key area of managing occupational road risk. The transport department at the world-class super laundry located on Slough Trading Estate has been awarded a RoSPA Silver Fleet Safety Award for its health and safety protocols, working hard to ensure the safety of its drivers and, in turn, other individuals on the road.

Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards.

Senior transport manager at the Slough site, Peter Cox said: “The Slough Transport team identified an opportunity in the ROSPA Fleet Safety Awards to test some of the transport safety projects they had undertaken, focusing on reducing occupational road risk and to demonstrate continuous improvement in all areas of fleet safety.

“The team are delighted to have achieved the Silver Award Standard and are already planning further improvements and initiatives for next year. This achievement will act as a springboard to further motivate the whole Slough Transport team and benchmark the standards for future projects and initiatives in management of occupational road risk and fleet safety across CLEAN’s seven sites.”

Earlier this month CLEAN was awarded its eighth consecutive company-wide RoSPA Gold Medal Award for maintaining high standards in all aspects of health and safety.
