Richard Haworth – the UK-based supplier of linen to the textile rental and hospitality sector – has recently been awarded the latest ISO 14001 certification, the internationally recognised sign of a business’ commitment to the preservation of the environment.

In achieving the ISO 14001 certification, Richard Haworth proved that they met the high standards set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) to protect the environment.

Richard Haworth takes pride in reducing the environmental impact they have on the world and in the successful acquisition of the ISO 14001 standard that dedication has been validated. In order to achieve certification, the company had to demonstrate a systematic approach to environmental management and show dedication to sustainable development. To ensure continuing dedication to the ISO 14001 standard, each year an external audit is carried out by a third party to guarantee that everything is still in place and any improvements needed are addressed.

Managing director of Richard Haworth, Raj Ruia, said “We are delighted to have achieved the ISO 14001 accreditation. This demonstrates our commitment to making sure environmental concerns are an integral part of our decision-making process. Our Business Management System is now fully certified against ISO 9001 and 14001 as we strive to continually improve all areas of the business.”
