This month it launched the Big Business Refit national campaign, which was introduced by Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis. It will run until 31 March 2010 and will provide expert guidance and £100m in interest free loans to help businesses upgrade to energy-saving cost efficient equipment. Companies will be able to pay back their loans through savings on energy bill.

The campaign results from a survey of 1,500 small and medium-sized UK businesses, which revealed that 52% don’t have the cash to upgrade equipment, while 60% of small and medium-sized businesses wait until their equipment breaks down completely before replacing it.
