The distributor’s installation of 40,000 high efficiency Maytag Commercial Laundry washers in the past five years will result in more than 2.7 million gallons of water saved over the lifetime of the machines, said Craig Kirchner, director of global commercial laundry at Whirlpool Corporation.
“Mac-Gray’s dedication to eco-efficiency exemplifies how the commercial laundry market can make a big difference in utility savings,” said Kirchner. “No one works harder to convince colleges, universities and the multi-housing industry to install more efficient laundry equipment.”
Mac-Gray was presented with the 2007 Energy Advantage award during the Maytag Commercial Laundry 50th annual meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Maytag’s Energy Advantage line includes high-efficiency front-load washers, top-load washers, soft-mount coin washers, multi-load single and stack dryers, soft-mount high-speed extractors, rigid-mount front-load washer/extractors and drying tumblers.
