The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents presents annual awards to companies which have demonstrated a commitment to reducing ill-health and accidents at work.
This year, Initial Textile Services has scooped one of RoSPA’s coveted gold awards for health and safety, building on the achievements of winning both bronze and silver awards in previous years.
Subash Ludhra, health and safety manager said: “We won the bronze award in 1995 and the silver the year after so to continue our steady improvement and take gold this time is very satisfying.
“I think it shows our employees as well as our customers that we are committed to improving health and safety in the workplace.
“Next year we will be applying to win a sector award meaning Initial Textile Services would be recognised as the health and safety leaders in the textile services industry as a whole which would be a great achievement.”
