The commercial arm of Hughes Trade has been appointed Miele Professional Partner for the West Midlands, taking in Birmingham, Dudley and Walsall. Hughes already looks after East Anglia and East Midlands for Miele from its branches in Norwich and Leicester with 26 members of staff.
The commercial arm mainly serves the care, hospitality, tourism and educational sectors by supplying, installing, servicing and repairing specialist washing machines and dryers, together with Miele glass and dish washers.
“This is exciting news for us, and a big vote of confidence in our abilities, as we continue our excellent working relationship with Miele,” said Hughes Trade general manager, Paul Chisnall.
“Birmingham is the UK’s second largest city so it is a huge opportunity for us to significantly grow the business. We will be servicing our additional territory from our new 6,500sq ft branch in Leicester situated close to J21 of the M1.
“To cope with the increasing workload, we are recruiting additional members of staff to cover sales, administration and servicing.”
