The Halogenated Solvents Industry Alliance (HSIA) is a trade association representing the manufacturers of perchloroethylene (perc) and other chlorinated solvents. Its membership includes Dow Chemical (USA), INEOS Chlor (UK), PPG Industries (USA), and Vulcan Chemicals. It sponsors research and reviews of the potential health effects of perc and works to ensure this information is incorporated into drycleaning regulation at federal, state and local level.
