WeCoTec, the new online laundry equipment brand launched by HJ Weir, has announced that for every machine sold via WeCoTec, a £50 donation will be made to the Marine Conservation Society.

The Marine Conservation Society is the UK’s leading marine charity. They work to ensure our seas are healthy, pollution free and protected.

Our seas are under immense pressure: too much rubbish is being thrown in and too little is being done to protect our precious wildlife. The Marine Conservation Society’s vision is for seas full of life where nature flourishes and people thrive.

Ross Weir, managing director of WeCoTec takes his environmental, sustainability and social impact policy very seriously. “The laundry industry focuses on minimising its carbon footprint, using the best quality linens to prevent microfibres in the sea, minimising chemical pollution and with Milnor systems minimising water and energy wastage,” he says. “WeCoTec is a proud company supporter for the Marine Conservation Society. The team at WeCoTec hopes that this inspires many more people in the laundry world to get onboard and make a difference.”
