HJ Weir Engineering, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of flatwork finishing equipment, won the Excellence in Manufacturing at the Monmouthshire Business Awards 2017. The company received its award at a gala dinner and ceremony at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on 6 October, hosted by broadcaster Hywel James.
The company was in the running for both Excellence in Export & International Trade and for Excellence in Manufacturing.
Ross Weir, managing director said: “HJ Weir are thrilled to have been a finalist for Excellence in Manufacturing and Excellence in Export and International Trade at the prestigious Monmouthshire Business Awards.
“We were in two very tough categories with leading businesses so just to have been shortlisted from the hundreds of entries to be in the finals was a superb achievement. To have won the award for Excellence in Manufacturing means a great to deal to all of us at HJ Weir Engineering.”
