HLL Linens, a newly incorporated subsidiary of VSS, acquired the import, export and distribution parts of Hilden Textiles Group (which includes Hilden Manufacturing Company, Liddell, Ireland, and Lanscot Textiles, Scotland,) and will trade using the Hilden, Liddel and Lanscot names as appropriate.
The company says it has invested in a long term plan to trade and develop the Hilden group and VSS managing director Laurie Thomas says: “We believe that the combination of VSS’s sourcing reach and product and logistical expertise with the heritage and established networks of the Hilden, Liddell and Lanscot Group will create a dynamic force in the supply of linens in UK, Irish and worldwide hospitality markets.”
VSS owns businesses such as C&C Bed & Bath, Whitaker Services and Reebitex Fabrics and has sourcing offices in China, Pakistan and Egypt. The company has extensive market and technical experience in supplying textile and furnishing products to retailers in the UK and to public sector customers such as the Ministry of Defence, NHS and HMP.
