This will be held at the Slough Marriott Hotel, the venue chosen by the Guild last year in response to delegates’ requests for a southern location. It will also follow the format which the Guild introduced, by opening with the gala dinner on the Saturday, followed by the Sunday business session.

The programme details are still being finalised but speakers are expected to include:

Matthew Barker from drycleaner Anthony A Barker

Martin Gregson, technical director, Johnson Service Group

Stephen Kaye of the Health and Safety Executive who will talk on the Synergy Project – the Scottish pilot scheme that transferred responsibility for drycleaning inspections to the environmental health officers

Kim Stopher, acting chairman of the Combustion Engineering Association

Stephen Goldman who will explain “how to revaluate your business.”

Don Pack, laundry division manager of Seitz.

A speaker from ACAS is also expected but has not yet been confirmed.

Guild secretary Sandra Pearce, will be handling enquiries and bookings for delegates.
