The Midlands Launderers and Cleaners Club celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. To mark the event it will hold a special Ladies’ Night in November. The event will be hosted by the club president Pat Zetsche and his wife. Historian and West Midlands BBC Radio presenter Dr Carl Chinn has been invited as the guest of honour and speaker. The club was founded in 1951 by launderers and cleaners together with allied traders. Today it has 26 members and meets four times a year.
