Girbau Australia will continue to trade with the Advance name and to employ the distributor’s workforce. Advance’s CEO Steve Swann will lead the subsidiary’s general management.
Advance was founded in 1978 and has been a Girbau distributor since 1984. It supplies laundry and drycleaning equipment to the industrial and institutional markets in Australia and the South Pacific region. The company is particularly strong in the hotel and healthcare sectors.
Girbau export vice-president Santi Carol is confident that current sales can be doubled in the next four years.
