Scottish textile services company, Fishers is to open a state of the art "super laundry" in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, by the end of 2015.
Fishers said that this is its first new Scottish laundry in 19 years. It is expected to be fully operational by March 2016 and will serve hotels and restaurants in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
The project represents an investment of £5million, which includes energy-efficient laundry equipment supplied by the Jensen Group. When complete, the laundry will be capable of processing more than four tonnes of linen every hour.
The project is expected to create around 150 jobs.
