The Federal Trade Commission will hold its public round table on changes to the Care Label Rule on 28 March at its conference centre in Washington, DC. The event was originally scheduled for 1 October 2013 but had to be postponed due to the federal government shutdown.

A proposal to include a wetcleaning instruction will be a key focus and discussions will include the cost of substantiating this instruction, consumer awareness of wetcleaning and the wording of such an instruction.
The event will also explore issues relating to the use of care symbols.
