Industrial Laundry Equipment (ILE) sprang into action to help provide a cost-effective solution at Nottingham City Hospital which needed more washer extractors within a set budget, and in a hurry, to cope with increased demand relating to the current Covid-19 situation.

ILE and NCH considered several options in discussions that went on late into the night and a provisional plan was hatched. After a confirmation call at 7.30am the next day ILE set things in action and delivered three 54kg capacity ILE machines from its economy range within three hours of the decision being made.

Richard Brown, ILE owner and managing director, told LCN: “We also gave a great discounted price to help support the NHS in the fight against this virus. With a large amount of stock due in, we decided that profit was less important than doing our bit. Maurice Brown, engineering operations manager, and the NCH estates team did wonders to make the site ready while Derek Smith, owner of D Smith Machine Movements, jumped into action to collect, deliver and position.

Michael Clegg, NCH facilities manager – logistics and patient movements, in pushing for the decision quickly to save the NHS money and ensure these were delivered before the bank holiday weekend, showed great commitment too!

ILE offers a comprehensive range of equipment in both premium and economy ranges, to be able to cater to everyone's needs. The range includes 10kg-120kg static and tilting washers in both a high-quality premium and an economy offering, barrier washers, tumble dryers and towel folders through to bag systems and full tunnel and ironing lines.
