The company, which supplies services to foodservice, food and beverage processing, healthcare and hospitality markets around the world, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese government.

In a statement on 8 September, the company said it was committed to making incremental investments of US$30million in China, with additional investment to follow as the business expands. The investment will include additional manufacturing, research and development projects and technology upgrades.

“The expansion reflects Ecolab’s strong commitment to helping make our customers, industries and communities in China cleaner, safer and healthier,” said Phillip J. Mason, president, Ecolab international sector.
