Chevron Phillips Chemical Company will introduce its new HC-DCF High Flash drycleaning solvent.
This solvent is 100% hydrocarbon-based and is classified as an NFPA Class IIIA solvent. With the correct permits, the product can be used in hydrocarbon machines designed for Stoddard or other hydrocarbon solvents.
The higher flashpoint of this solvent, compared to traditional Stoddard solvents, ensures greater safety.
Its lower vapour pressure means that less solvent is lost to evaporation, resulting in cost savings for the drycleaner.
The solvent’s cleaning power has been verified by a major detergent manufacturer and shown to be as powerful as other hydrocarbon solvents currently on the market.
