The African Federation of Textile Care Professionals, AFTCP, and CINET, the International Committee of Professional Textile Care, have announced a strategic partnership, effective from 1 November. The agreement will be signed on 23 November at Texcare France in Paris, by Yoboue Loukou Celestin-Arthur, president of AFTCP and Peter Wennekes, CEO of Cinet. At the same time an agreement will be signed to organise the first African Best Practices Awards Program 2024 during the FAPET Forum 22 -24 May 2024 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Here AFTCP expects some 200 texile care professionals from 15 African countries to participate.
The AFTCP was founded in August and is focusing on organising education and training for PTC operatorsin Africa, according to PTC Best Practices Principles and International Hygiene Standards, as used in the Cinewet World of PTC Business School and laid down in CERCLEAN® certification, for healthcare, hospitality, industrial and consumer markets.
Cinet and AFTCP agreed also for the latter to be a co-host of the Cinet World Congress and Best Practices Awards 2024 taking place 8 and 9, November 2024 during Texcare International in Frankfurt, Germany. At this event Cinet expects, together with IDC and 30 co-host Associations around the world, to mobilise over 300 professionals from 60 countries in the Best Practices Award Program 2024 and reach PTC markets worldwide with up to 25.000 followers via multilingual streaming.
