Laundry chemical manufacturer Christeyns UK won the Manufacturer of the Year award at the seventh annual Bradford means Business awards, beating off other short-listed companies including BASF. The firm was also highly commended in other categories including Employer of the Year.
Christeyns UK is part of the Christeyns group, based in Ghent, Belgium. Its principal focus is the manufacture and supply of detergents and supporting chemicals for the commercial laundry sector across the UK in which it is the market leader.
The awards ceremony, held at Aagrah Midpoint in Bradford on Thursday 6 July, honours the region’s top performers and their contribution to business, community and the surrounding area. Nick Garthwaite, managing director at Christeyns, received the award. He said: “I am absolutely delighted that Christeyns has won the Manufacturer of the Year category and against such a strong shortlist. My congratulations go to everyone at Christeyns Bradford, for their fantastic team effort and commitment.”
