Chemicals manufacturer Christeyns has selected two new charities to support over the coming year, both from the West Yorkshire area. Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield and One in a Million in Bradford will both benefit from the company’s fundraising efforts and community support programme. Christeyns will continue to support its other charities, MacMillan and the Anchor Project.
One In A Million (OIAM) is a charity that engages predominantly with disadvantaged children and young people, through sports, the arts and enterprise. Craig McHugh, OIAM charity executive said: “At OIAM we are a family of people that have created a vibrant community culture and each person is deeply committed to playing their part in changing the negative statistics of the lives of children and young people. We are delighted that Christeyns has joined our community and look forward to working closely with them over the coming year.”
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice provides care and support to children with life shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire. The charity also runs a “Hospice at Home” outreach service that offers a range of services including clinical care for the children. Zoe Bray, corporate fundraiser at Forget Me Not said: “We’re delighted and hugely grateful to have been chosen by Christeyns as one of their charities for 2018. Their support will make a big difference to the children and families we support and enable us to help even more living locally.”
Over the past two years Christeyns has raised over £11,500 for its chosen charities, carrying out a variety of events such as breakfasts, BBQs, coffee mornings and bake offs.
