The robbers escaped with an undisclosed sum after threatening staff at Johnson Cleaners in New Hall Lane, Fishwick, with a handgun.
A spokesman for Preston CID said the thieves dropped the BB handgun outside the shop as they fled, at around 6.50pm on Thursday 30 August. He said: “Any robbery is a serious offence and they had used a weapon, even though it is a BB gun.”
