Electrolux Laundry Systems has developed and expanded its range of dryers for the OPL segment

Electrolux Laundry Systems has just launched new washer-extractors, giving a choice of machines from 5.5kg up to 110kg. The company's new range of dryers has been designed to match these washers.

The dryers are from 5.5kg (130litre) up to 50kg (1000litre) with many options to meet the needs of the market.

At the end of this year, Electrolux Laundry Systems will launch two dryers in the range of OPL dryers, with capacities of 45kg (900litre) and 60kg (1200litre). The company says these will have the same high performance as all the other dryers from Electrolux Laundry Systems, and again can be supplied with many options to allow the customer to build a dryer that suits his specific laundry's needs.

The T3900 and T31200 are heavy-duty tumble dryers with radial airflow.

Performance and economy

High performance and low energy consumption have been goals during product development. The new dryers evaporate 1.2litres of water per minute and work at a rate of two loads an hour dried from 50% moisture.

The standard dryer includes a large door and reverse drum action. The large door opening of 940mm diameter is designed for easy loading and unloading and, with a maximum drum depth of 1m, it is easy for the operator to reach into the machine during unloading. The reverse drum action prevents large items from tangling and wrinkling.

An advanced microprocessor control, Selecta, makes it possible to set the parameters to suit requirements and ensure the optimal result. Controls are as follows:

• four temperature selections

• two programs with Auto Stop, or six programs with moisture control (with RMC option)

• drying time selection

• cool down time adjustment

• reverse action selection

• start/stop button

• displays: selected program or selected/remaining drying time, cooldown time, actual temperature or moisture level (with RMC option) and cycle status.

• automatic cool down

• buzzer end signal.

The user-friendly panel is placed so it is easy for the operator to operate and monitor the dryer.

The principal optional features include RMC control for optimum drying result where different moisture levels are required, such as for drying of a wide range of different textiles ranging from Goretex outerwear to silk - "a must in all professional laundries," says the company.

The two new dryers have another new feature. The heating unit is delivered as a separate add-on unit. This saves space in the warehouse as well as considerably improving delivery times. Basic dryers with no heating units are in stock together with a selection of the three heating alternatives. When a customer places an order, the dryer is combined with the requested heating alternative: gas, steam or electric.
