Stain removal, from a technical standpoint, is the most challenging aspect of wetcleaning. However, some aspects present fewer problems for the wetcleaner than the drycleaner. This is because much of the soiling and stains are approximately 70% water based; generally speaking, wetcleaning is a more effective cleansing process than drycleaning, the downside being finishing structured garments to high standards. It is also the case that the numbers of easy care garments now on sale designed for water based processing is increasing with a corresponding reduction in those items where the care label dictates drycleaning many of which will need careful evaluation before accepting for wetcleaning.
