Polytex/Renwear cement partnership to provide automated hygienic workwear management in UK

Israeli workwear management technology company Polytex has signed an agreement with a British company Renwear for distribution of its automated workwear solution. The recent agreement, says Polytex, will give it access to a huge yet untapped market. The London-based company Renwear focuses on providing workwear rental and laundry services across many industries throughout Britain. The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a renewed focus on the importance of hygiene in the workplace.

Maxi-Press membrane protects patients and carers from higher germ loads

The new Anti-Bact membrane from Maxi-Press contributes to a significant reduction of germs in laundry for hospitals and care facilities, says the company, so both patients and staff are significantly better protected against germ contamination. In addition to testing by the German Hohenstein Institute, Maxi-Press said that its customers confirm the advantages of the membranes. A new, specially developed production line has been built to produce the membrane.

TSA CEO’s Easter update speaks of regeneration and hope

David Stevens, CEO of the Textile Services Association (TSA) , has a positive message for TSA members at Easter, saying: “I have used the ‘green shoots of recovery’ phrase four times in my introductions and I have been wrong every time, so I am not going to mention it.  However, the industry is now talking about bouncing back, our customers are generally more optimistic and we have the furlough scheme to support us through the summer so I do believe we have some justification to look forward with some optimism. 
“It still won’t be easy, the bounce back will be regional, aged debt is going to become a real issue as we find out who has survived and managing cash flow will probably be the biggest challenge.”

TRSA: The view from The Hill

TRSA held its Hill Day on 25 March 25 to close its 11th Annual Legislative Conference. The meetings were a resounding success, according to TRSA, with a total of 96 linen, uniform and facility services industry executives taking part in 110 meetings with members of Congress and key staff members. TRSA staff joined members on the calls, the majority of which took place via Zoom video conference.
