PCIAW rewards Carrington Textiles for healthcare sector support in pandemic
EUROPE/UK Leading European workwear fabric manufacturer, Carrington Textiles, was awarded the ‘Services to the Pandemic’ award by the Professional Clothing Industry Association Worldwide (PCIAW) for its support to the healthcare sector in the UK and Europe. The company increased capacity at ITS main processing facility in the UK, enabling it to supply more than 10 million metres of specialised fabric for medical workwear during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
Elis selected to NHS Net Zero International Leadership Group

The TRSA 108th annual conference opened for business in person and on line in California, 19-21 October, at the Hilton Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach resort hotel and spa. More than 170 linen, uniform and facility services executives met in person there.
Hospital Linen Managers conference heralds the start of a new era

The Society of Hospital Linen Services and Laundry Managers (SHLMSM) conference, in its 70th year since its inauguration in 1951, got off to a good start in its first meeting since 2019 with plenty of positive spirit and the feeling of a new era dawning. Plenty of changes have been made since that date which include a brand new council and a snappy new website. The occasion also attracted more delegates than previously.

USA Hurricane Ida struck the USA two months ago, and while it may seem like old news now, its impact is still being felt by the people who experienced it and many have still not been able to return to their homes. Or repair them. The Category 4 Atlantic hurricane was the second-most damaging and intense hurricane, post Hurricane Katrina in 2005, to make landfall in the US state of Louisiana, home to Pellerin Milnor’s New Orleans facility.
