Swedish TSA Conference welcomes breakthrough in textiles recycling

More than one hundred delegates and a raft of interesting speakers gathered for the annual conference of the Swedish TSA, Sveriges Tvätteriförbund. Johnny Magnusson the president of the regional executive committee in Västra Götaland, the top regional politician in West Sweden, welcomed the delegates to the Gothenburg event, where there was exciting news of a breakthrough in textiles recycling.
TSA Spring Conference: Linford Christie – the flame burns bright

The recent Textile Services Association (TSA) Spring Conference lined up Linford Christie OBE as keynote speaker and motivator par excellence. He is undoubtedly Europe’s greatest ever 100 metre sprinter. He was the first European to run sub 10 seconds and the first man in history to hold the Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth titles in the 100 metres. His fastest time, 9.87 seconds, recorded when he won the 1993 World Championship in Stuttgart, was the European record for nearly 30 years. Linford remains one of the most decorated British athletes of all time, winning an amazing 24 medals before the end of his 17-year career.
TSA Spring Conference: Putting people first

Last month’s Textile Services Association (TSA) Spring Conference was the launchpad for the results of a study conducted by the Association in an effort find out how the textile care industry compares with others. The results of this culture study are an encouraging shot in the arm at a time when recruitment and staff retention is high on the wish list for laundry businesses. TSA Spring Conference: First apprentice completes her journey

The recent Textile Services Association (TSA) Spring Conference celebrated a milestone for one of its pet projects as the first apprentices finished her journey through the Association’s apprentice scheme. Shyju Skariah, director of programmes and projects for the TSA told delgates: “One of the biggest training projects the TSA has taken on is its apprenticeship scheme which is now in place across the whole journey. There are 40 active apprentices in the scheme and 40 more in the process of being accepted.”
