The FTCT Winter Appeal launches for working families in need

Trade charity the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) has launched its first ever winter fundraising appeal, to raise money for winter essentials for the children of UK fashion and textile workers, in a climate of growing need from working parents. The Trust, which provides grants for essential children’s items, is already hearing from industry parents who are missing payments on household bills as a result of extra financial pressure caused by the winter season.

Rise in Living Wage and knock-on effect for laundries

Salisbury Linen Services celebrates 10 years of successful NHS service

Salisbury Linen Services (SLS) marked10 years of existence with a lunch for staff along with a number of customers and suppliers in attendance. SLS was established and started operation in October 2013 when it purchased the laundry assets of the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, along with transferring the laundry’s 35 staff to the new venture.
Regenex returns of 1,000 tonnes of rescued linen

Specialist commercial linen cleaning company Regenex has reached its target milestone of successfully returning 1,000 tonnes of linen back to its customers — saving 3K tonnes of carbon in the process. Founded in 2017, the West Yorkshire-based company has continued to grow following the interruption of the pandemic and has since rescued 1,000 tonnes of the UK’s dirtiest linen which would otherwise have been condemned to landfill or ragged.

Oxwash acquires EN 14065 accreditation and healthcare hygiene compliance

Oxwash has announced the company is now officially EN 14065 accredited (certified by Atlas) at its 20,000 sq. ft flagship facility, known as Big Blue.
