Pincroft, a commission textile dyer, printer and finisher with over 90 years of experience supplying armed forces and defence companies around the world, has announced the adoption of a precision spray technology that allows the application of many finishes for textiles, including permethrin for vector protection.

TRSA kicks off its North East meeting at New York Mets home ground

TRSA recently hosted a Northeast Regional Meeting that included a stadium tour, meeting and baseball game at Citi Field, the home of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. The programme, on 1 September, started with a tour of Citi Field followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium and lunch. Twenty-five members, including many next-generation leaders, attended the event to learn more about federal and state legislative and regulatory issues.

Foundation milks the benefits of cows for India organic textile production

The GoodTextiles Foundation, initiated by Dibella, has implemented a new support project in India: Each family of a small village community of organic farmers received a cow from the donations received. The herd of 50 animals helps with farming, gives milk, produces sufficient natural fertiliser and should soon provide higher crop yields and a better income.

ImageFIRST acquires Allegiant Linen Services in Tennessee

National healthcare linen provider, ImageFIRST, expands its laundry service and processing capabilities in the Nashville area with its latest acquisition thereby adding its first processing plant in Tennessee to its portfolio. The announcement that it has acquired Tennessee-based Allegiant Linen Services marks ImageFIRST’s first processing plant in the state. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Minchin abandons red sofa to headline at TSA October conference

The Textile Services Association (TSA) has bagged popular BBC presenter Louise Minchin as keynote speaker for its Autumn Conference, 4-5 October, at the Hilton St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent. Minchin is a well-known and respected broadcaster and journalist who has presented BBC Breakfast on BBC One for 20 years.

CLA names 2023 members for Board of directors

The Coin Laundry Association (CLA) announced 2023 board members who, together with the board of directors, will prioritise the organisation’s focus and lead the CLA in its commitment to advance an evolving self-service laundry industry and improve the customer experience. Five re-elected and one newly elected board members will work with active members who are comprised of store owner operators, manufacturers, distributors, and others conducting business or professional activities related to the self-service laundry industry.
