CINET GBPAP Award winners announced

An international jury of independent Professional Textile Care (PTC) experts, chaired by Geert Boettger for the fifth consecutive occasion, determined the winners of Cinet’s Global Best Practices Awards Program. After an inspiring day judging 46 individual pitches from GBPAP finalists in three categories:
• Industrial Textile Services (ITS) • Retail Textile Cleaning (SME) • Retail Textile Cleaning (Big)
the winners were chosen in good time for the Awards ceremony in the evening of 21 Octber at EXPODetergo. “Some 300 attendees were there in person to witness the event while thousands of followers world-wide watched online,” reported Cinet.
Krebe Tippo’s very clever smart drum turns heads

Krebe Tippo has launched its 516 Smart Drum solution at EXPODetergo (Hall 3P – S22-T21) and is already attracting some extremely positive attention, according to Anja Uranjek, head of sales and marketing at Krebe Tippo, who said: “We are ecstatic to present our patented invention called 516 Smart Drum, which is one of our biggest achievements. We are presenting the solution on our stand and people are insanely interested in it.”
Kannegiesser drywork line attracts notice at EXPODetergo

Attracting attention at EXPODetergo in Milan, the Kannegiesser drywork line automatically feeds, folds and sorts 600 items per hour of a typical hotel mix with four different articles in one batch. Kannegiesser is showcasing the processing of a batch with a hotel mix of bath mats, bidet towels, hand towels, and shower towels on its stand. The drywork line measures the length and width of every article and sorts the towels accordingly on the 4 speed stackers of the folding machine.
Biko UK teams up with Laundry Robotics

There was good news for Biko UK at EXPODetergo on opening day as it announced it has been appointed distributor for Laundry Robotics in the UK and Ireland. It was also good news for Simtech Automation as the new agency will be managed as a partnership between the two companies.
EXPODetergo opens its doors to international visitors

EXPODetergo 2022 (21 to 24 October) opened for business art Milan’s Fiera Milano exhibition centre with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by the great and the good of the Italian textile care industry and other dignitaries. Present at the opening ceremony were Luca Palermo, CEO and general manager, Fiera Milano; Marco Sancassani, president of EXPOdetergo International; Giuseppe Conti, president of Assofornitori the Italian textile services trade association; and, Melania De Nichilo Rizzoli, counselor for education and jobs in Lombardy Region.
Epic waste water savings by Christeyns

The Ghent, Belgium, multinational Christeyns, exhibiting at EXPODetergo in Milan, which produces detergents and disinfectants for industrial laundries in Belgium and abroad, has launched EPIC, an innovative detergent system. EPIC stands for Enzymatic Process Innovation by Christeyns and is based on enzyme technology, enabling laundries to reduce their waste water costs by 25%.
