Wildman Business Group acquires WM Uniform

Two independent, family-owned companies in the industrial laundry space have joined forces to expand their footprint and service offerings. Wildman Business Group, based in Warsaw, Indiana, announced today the acquisition of WM Uniform, located in Holland, Michigan. Together the combined entity operates from six locations throughout Indiana and Michigan with 440 employees, serving more than 12,000 customers.

Fox Energy says fuel costs will level out – but not right now

Some energy take-aways from the recent Textile Services Association (TSA) Spring Conference in Burton on Trent earlier this month were served up by Paul Dilley of Fox Energy, the TSA’s go-to expert. His presentation, entitled ‘The UK energy crisis: What next?’, initially set out the reasons why the past couple of years have gone from slow simmer to a full roiling boil in the energy cauldron of horror. However, he says, the heat is now being turned down a little – but don’t expect things to return to anything like pre-Covid levels until things finally rebalance in 2026-27.

BC SoftWear launches sumptious spa linens and robes

BC SoftWear, has announced it is launching a brand-new luxury range of spa linens and robes in response to a “huge spike in demand” for more larger, more luxurious items, according to the company. The SupremeSoft Deluxe and Pure Spa Deluxe ranges will include premium extra-large treatment towels with or without head holes, an Oxford pillowcase and an extra-large spa duvet.

TRSA 110th annual conference heads to Florida’s Gulf Coast

Sunny Naples, Florida will be the host city for the North America linen rental association (TRSA) 110th annual conference 10-12 October. Nestled between the beach and the golf greens the conference will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Tiburon Golf Resort Hotel and will connect industry leaders, allowing an opportunity to mix professional development and industry updates with some social networking including an interactive charcuterie building challenge, the TRSA Open 9-Hole golf tournament and an optional brewery tour.

TSA: Climate change agreement boost

The Textile Services Association (TSA) spring conference heard CEO David Stevens present a quick update on the TSA’s Climate Change Agreement Scheme (CCA), making reference to the late Murray Simpson, former CEO of TSA, whose legacy the CCA is. “I love this topic as it enables me to talk about Murray and climate change is defiantly a Murray legacy, if you don’t know who Murray was, he was our CEO for many years before tragically being killed in a road accident.”

TSA: Lobbying successes in the back of the net

The Textile Services Association (TSA) spring at St George’s Park, Burton-on-Trent, celebrated getting a long-term ambition over the line. According to CEO David Stevens, it seems lobbying is beginning to pay off. “One of the new steering groups for the TSA this year is lobbying and when we put the programme together it was still in its early days and we weren’t sure we would have much to say. But I think we have made some great progress,” said Stevens.
