Miele’s latest series of Benchmark designed to reduce overheads

Miele Professional has introduced a new line of washers and dryers to its Benchmark range, designed to provide significant reductions in overheads such as water and energy, and time, compared to its predecessor. Washing machines from this model series will now be available with a load capacity of 9kg – 11kg, accompanied by dryers with matching load sizes, offering users the convenience and programme diversity of the larger machines which have been available since 2021.

TRSA gains legislator support for more reusable textiles in healthcare facilities

It is good news for health care linen rental businesses in the USA as TRSA announces it has secured the signatures of US Representatives Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) and Michael Carey (R-OH-15) as the chief co-signers to a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. The letter is requesting Secretary Becerra to “examine the feasibility and potential benefits of the increased use of reusable healthcare textiles (HCTs) in hospitals and other medical facilities to protect healthcare workers, address the rising environmental impact of disposables, prepare for future pandemics and potentially provide cost savings”.

Miele washer-disinfector reprocess firefighter breathing apparatus

Miele Professional, has announced the launch of its PG 8593; a washer-disinfector designed for the reprocessing of breathing apparatus for firefighters. The machine is built to thoroughly clean highly contaminated equipment to rid air regulators and breathing masks of harmful pollutants. Firefighters are regularly exposed to high levels of toxic contaminants during a fire, with carcinogen chemicals such as aerosols, dust, smoke, fumes, gases and vapours settling on PPE equipment including uniforms, helmets, and breathing apparatus.
MAG launches new range of energy efficient laundry equipment

MAG Laundry Equipment has launched a new range of industrial washing machines with capacities ranging form 25kg to 150kg. The company claims that its new quicker and quieter equipment could reduce utility bills by up to 60%. ” There is a staggering difference when you compare highly efficient laundry equipment to inefficient machines that are wasting energy on every cycle,” said the company.
