Launderette market busting out all over in Vietnam

A report in the Việt Nam News, posted on 6 September, revealed that Việt Nam is a huge potential market for the launderette business thanks to its fast-growing economy and large population. The Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade in May 2022 had released statistics showing the size of the country’s commercial laundry market was estimated at US$205 million a year with a growth rate of 6%, significantly higher than the Asian average of 3.6%.

TSA set to unveil findings of its groundbreaking UK care home laundry survey – in Belgium care home super laundry

The TSA (Textile Services Association) is to announce the much anticipated findings of its care home laundry research with de Montfort University (DMU) as it takes members to inspect a world-leading care home processing laundry in Belgium. Ninety per cent of Europe’s care homes outsource their laundry. In the UK most care homes process their laundry in-house. The pandemic highlighted the importance of maintaining the strictest hygienic standards in care homes. Outsourcing is more efficient, more sustainable and it ensures that laundering complies with appropriate standards, BS EN 14065 and HTM-01-04. So why don’t more UK care homes make use of commercial laundry services? The TSA is investigating the conundrum.

TRSA looks to UK as the model for full-service linen rental

Electrolux Professional draws new targets to address climate impact

Electrolux Professional Group has revealed its target to reduce indirect use phase emissions of sold products by 27.5% by 2030. This target, together with the target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its industrial operations by 70% by 2030, has now been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi*).

Micronclean powers up with mega solar array at Louth
