The re-designed San-Ai Max-Press springing brings together the advantages of both coil and laminar springs in one product.

It has the robustness and the longevity of the coil spring, but also incorporates the laminar spring’s benefits and produces the quality finish demanded by high class establishments.

In the Max-Press, the coil spring is fitted with cap-plates that overlap so there is no gap between the springs.

Both the base band on which the coils are mounted and the cap-plates have holes that let the moisture from the linen pass through more easily, allowing the linen being ironed to dry both quickly and efficiently and producing a better finish.

The cap-plate has small claws so that the felt is gripped securely and will not slip.

The design also helps ironer maintenance as it allows the felts to be changed easily and without any risk of touching the hot roll.

The felt is attached directly to the Max-Press springing, the ironer roll is then turned and the tensioning spring is secured on both sides of the felt.

No other fastening is needed to keep the felt secure.
