Lancashire-based weaving specialist Hilden has used spun polyester yarn to produce a range of table linen that combines the practical advantages of polyester with a cotton-like softness.

An addition to the Apollo range, Alpha linen has all the softness associated with a natural fabric while retaining the durability, low shrinkage rates, excellent stain release and colour retention properties afforded by manmade fibres.

Moira O’Brien, Hilden’s MD describes Apollo Alpha as a remarkable breakthrough and says: “The feel is so dramatically different from any other man-made fibre that there is no substitute for hands-on experience. You will find that feeling is believing.” The range is being launched pre-Christmas and will also feature strongly at February’s Hotelympia exhibition.
