UPDATED: The Worshipful Company of Launderers (WCL) is presenting an online lecture on generative AI on 8 April. ‘How Generative AI is Changing the Laundry Business’ will feature Sanjay Sauldie Msc Marketing (Manchester), MIT Design Thinking (Emeritus, in collaboration with MIT Sloan) and CEO of Sauldie.org.

In the first session of the two-hour presentation Sauldie will look at what to expect from generative artificial intelligence (AI) which can make tasks easier and faster for admin, customer service, sales and finance.

Also contributing to the event is Markus Kobel, CEO of Laundry Robotics, who is also CEO of BIKO Engineering.

Kobel studied computer science in Bern, Switzerland, and also studied software engineering and pattern recognition. In the second part of the lecture, Kobel will explore why generative AI can make processing tasks on the laundry floor easier, more efficient and faster to complete.

Start time is 9.30 am British Summer Time, finishing at 11.30 am.

The event has been organised Ken Cupitt, WCL Education Committee and the funds for the seminar have come from the Oliver Family Trust of the Education Committee.
