Reliance Laundry Equipment, one of Ireland’s leading commercial laundry suppliers, has been shortlisted in the Guaranteed Irish Business Awards 2025, in the Business Support Solutions category.
Reliance Laundry Equipment, based in Galway, offers commercial laundry solution for laundrettes, communal apartment block facilities, multi-housing schemes, camp sites and marinas. It was established in 2018 and acquired by JLA in 2024. Since then, Reliance Laundry Equipment has utilised JLA’s national footprint, digital innovation and service investment to improve its own offering, and it is now one of the leaders in the Irish laundry market.
The awards, which marked its 50th anniversary last year, celebrates Ireland’s leading businesses that support jobs and local communities, and contribute to Ireland, its people, and its economy. It also recognises and rewards the success and resilience of both homegrown and multinational businesses across various sector categories.
Reliance Laundry Equipment plays a role in the Irish circular economy through its support of the manufacturing sector, having developed an authentically local supply chain for the parts and tools used to build its machines. It is also committed to operating sustainably, having implemented solutions which have achieved a 40% decrease in chemical emissions, 15% reduction in water usage, and 25% decrease in overall waste generation.
Reliance Laundry Equipment also has a strong community focus, offering free kit washes for Gaelic Athletics Association and rugby teams throughout the year, sponsoring regional soccer teams, and regularly fundraising for local charities and community centres.
The shortlist for the awards was selected by an independent panel of distinguished industry leaders from names including Matheson, An Post, Supervalu, Viatel Technology Group and FBD Insurance – which sponsors the Business Support Solutions category. Together they have whittled down hundreds of entries to just 84 finalists.
The winners’ ceremony will take place on Thursday,20 March at The Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin, hosted by Irish comedian Mario Rosenstock.
