November 2024 saw the CINET Global Best Practices Awards running alongside Texcare 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany where the country champion for the UK in the Retail Textile Cleaning A (RTC-Sme) category was announced as the American Drycleaning Company. The evaluation was made by an independent international jury from 125 applications from 40 countries.
American Drycleaning Company’s managing director Julian Stone is pictured, from right to left, with Mohammed Bhatik (retail director and Farrah Ismail (production director) at the ‘Country’ ceremony at the awards. Despite its name, the company is British, starting off in Grosvenor Square in London where the US Embassy had its premises before it moved across the River Thames to a new site in South London.
The awards were part of the first Cinet PTC World Congress for Professional Textile Care. Professionals from all over the world gathered there to discuss the current market transition to and impact of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence on the service the industry provides to customers and society.
This event was set up to highlight best practices in PTC and demonstrated the high international standards in quality, sustainability, and innovation the industry applies. The independent, international jury of 20 experts focused on quality and sustainability to fulfill customers’ needs.
