This winter, Vision Linens and the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) are joining forces to keep disadvantaged children warm, by donating cosy bedding packages to families in need. As families across the UK continue to face high living costs, ensuring children have warm bedding is more crucial than ever. A recent survey by FTCT among families who received its grants revealed 44% of parents do not have proper bedding to keep their children warm this winter.
Running alongside FTCT’s Winter Appeal, the partnership – which sees Vision Linen donating one hundred bedding bundles to FTCT families – aims to ease the burden on financially struggling families, providing comfort and warmth to children who need it most.
Bundles will include everything a child needs to stay warm and cosy throughout the cold months, including, a pillow, duvet and set of sheets. Eligible families will receive a reclaim code for their bedding bundle, allowing them the chance to choose a bundle with a design to suit their child’s unique personality.
Rachael Shah, head of sustainability for Vision Linens said: “At Vision Linens, we believe every child deserves a warm, safe night’s sleep, and we are proud to support FTCT’s efforts in making this a reality for families in need.”
One parent who has already used redeemed a bedding pack commented, “Before receiving this bundle, I didn’t feel confident my daughters have the right bedding to keep them warm through the Winter months. The new duvets have a higher tog rating so will be warmer. My daughter’s love the pretty design too, they feel proud of their bedroom now.”
If you are feeling inspired, there’s still time for you to get involved and support FTCT’s Winter Appeal, which runs throughout December. The goal is to raise £10,000 to support children whose parents are struggling financially and work on the UK fashion and textile industry.
