Christeyns went for the WOW factor at Texcare presenting concepts and technologies that redefine efficiency and sustainability in laundry operations – and even involve the distillation of gin. But more of that further down this story.Rather than focusing on individual products, the company emphasised comprehensive solutions under its new ‘WOW – We Optimise Wisely’ initiative, reflecting Christeyns’ mission to enhance washing, energy, and water management processes.
Christeyns highlighted several key innovations, including:
- EPIC: innovative wash concept boosted by enzyme technology ensuring high efficiency.
- Energy management: enhanced capabilities through the integration of TBR’s expertise, particularly in heat pump technology, to deliver more eco-friendly process solutions.
- HydRO Technology: a plug-and-play approach to water recycling, offering on-site water treatment and reuse through HydRO Technology. This system, prominently displayed outdoors at the Texcare venue, underscored Christeyns’ commitment to closing the water management loop.
“Our solutions at Texcare demonstrate our vision for the future of the textile care industry,” said Alain Bostoen, CEO. “We’re proud to lead with innovations that meet our clients’ needs for efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction.”
Christeyns showcased its EPIC system, powered by enzyme technology, which helps laundries meet strict environmental regulations while reducing wastewater costs. Complementing this is the HydRO water treatment and recovery technology, developed in partnership with Veride. With more than 30 systems installed across Europe, HydRO enables clients to recycle at least 80% of their process water, resulting in a savings of over 100 million litres in 2023 alone. Plans for 2024 aim to double this impact.
It is with this recycled and purified laundry water that Christeyn’s HydRO Gin is made.
By integrating TBR’s energy expertise, Christeyns is also advancing energy management solutions, offering comprehensive, sustainable support for its customers.
Texcare 2024 highlighted key industry priorities such as energy efficiency, resource conservation, circular economy, and textile hygiene – all of which align seamlessly with Christeyns’ mission. The company’s team of 500 experts continues to pioneer innovative systems like EPIC and HydRO while providing energy advisory services, ensuring clients achieve operational excellence and sustainability.
“Our participation at Texcare has been an incredible success,” said Sofie Boxstaele, Senior Marketeer Laundry Technology. “Visitors were particularly drawn to our outdoor display of the HydRO system. The enthusiasm confirms our commitment to sustainable water management.”
